Hybreck is a charming two storey house tucked away in the heart of Orkney's West Mainland, located within a spectacular part of the Island’s countryside. Hybreck can comfortably sleep up to seven people but would provide a cosy relaxing stay for any size of group. The house is a traditional Orkney dwelling originally built in 1902 and whilst it still retains many of its original features it has been fully renovated and modernised to provide all the luxuries and facilities required to give you a unique and unforgettable stay.
We are located 11 miles from Orkney’s main town Kirkwall and 7 miles from the slightly smaller but very picturesque town of Stromness. Given our location we are surrounded by a vast number of facilities and attractions to suit a range of interests. There are four of Orkney’s best known historic attractions within 4 miles. The banks of Orkney’s largest and best known fishing loch, the Harray loch, is a five minute walk away. In addition several bar/restaurants, local shops, RSPB sites and numerous beauty spots are all close by. Whatever your interests, they are all here on our doorstep.
The house is set in a large established garden which we encourage guests to enjoy.
Whether you plan to explore Orkney’s vast historical sites, fish on the renowned lochs, explore the islands or simply relax, Hybreck is the ideal place to stay.
